We conduct transactions with the suppliers, based on the following basic policies.
1. Our procurement operations shall be conducted with all suppliers based on fair and equitable standards.
2. In carrying out procurement operations, we shall seek a broad supplier base and open transaction opportunities.
3. We endeavor to provide necessary materials and information to suppliers fairly and to the extent required for the transaction. However, since the materials provided contain our company's confidential information, we require our suppliers to manage this confidential information appropriately.
4. We shall prioritize transactions with suppliers who are active and cooperative regarding our company's environmental initiatives.
CSR Procurement Initiatives
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, our company adheres to the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct. We request that our suppliers understand and comply with this Code as well, and we are committed to fulfilling our social responsibilities together.
Responsible Minerals Procurement
We recognize the risk that minerals mined in conflict-affected and high-risk areas may be associated with human rights abuses or illegal activities. Therefore, our company is committed to procuring minerals that are not involved in these issues. We ask our suppliers to understand this policy and cooperate with our minerals procurement surveys. Furthermore, we recommend sourcing from smelters certified under frameworks such as the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).
