Founded in 1956, our first product was a silver paste for the electrodes of disk-type ceramic capacitors, made from fine silver powder as the raw material. At that time, its use was limited to a few electronic devices such as black-and-white televisions and radios. However, as technology has advanced over the decades, the applications for our electronic materials have expanded exponentially.
Our core fine powder manufacturing technology has evolved from the micron scale to the nanometer scale, enabling the production of highly crystalline ultra-fine powders that have become indispensable to modern society. These materials are used in everything from smartphones, home appliances, and automobiles to artificial satellites, and demand is expected to continue growing in diverse fields such as IoT, AI, and autonomous driving.
Furthermore, by applying this powder manufacturing technology, we successfully developed and mass-produced Quantum Dots, which are light-emitting semiconductor nanoparticles. Quantum Dots have been adopted as high-performance color conversion materials in the flagship products of many display manufacturers. This material is also expected to be applied in various fields in the future, including biotechnology, solar cells, and agriculture.
We will continue to pursue unique ideas and creativity to contribute to the development of society. At the same time, we will strive to remain a technology-driven organization that supports the advancement of science and technology.
