In recent years, as concerns about the increasing frequency of extreme weather events driven by global warming have grown, our company remains committed to balancing business activities with environmental preservation. We will continue to achieve this through ongoing initiatives such as energy conservation and the use of renewable energy.
GHG Emission Monitoring
When calculating our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, we aim to assess not only our direct emissions but also emissions across our supply chain, including Scope 1, 2, and 3. We are committed to collaborating with our stakeholders to actively pursue reduction targets.
Energy Saving Initiatives
To achieve sustainable business operations, we actively promote energy-saving initiatives. Each year, we formulate and steadily execute energy-saving plans. These plans include improvements to existing facilities, such as pipe insulation and waste-energy reuse, as well as the introduction of highly energy-efficient equipment.
As part of these efforts, we successfully upgraded the oil-injected screw compressor used in our metal powder manufacturing process to an oil-free turbo compressor. This initiative resulted in a 10% reduction in electricity consumption and a 50% reduction in maintenance costs.
We remain committed to pursuing further achievements in energy efficiency, cost reduction, and maintenance optimization.
Installation of Solar Power Generation Facilities
We have installed solar power generation facilities utilizing available roof space at our factories and in our parking lots.
2. Promoting Recycling
Our paste product utilizes organic solvents during its manufacturing process. Used organic solvents are recycled and reused, achieving a recycling rate of approximately 60% for these materials. This initiative not only reduces industrial waste but also curbs the consumption of new resources, thereby contributing to a more sustainable society.
3. Chemical and Water Resource Management, and Sustainable Product Development
We rigorously manage water usage and appoint dedicated drainage control managers to monitor and analyze wastewater discharge results. We strictly adhere to all relevant laws and regulations and are committed to ensuring that our operations do not adversely impact the water quality of surrounding rivers.
Furthermore, we manage chemical substances appropriately based on our Environmental Management System. We are also prioritizing the development and provision of eco-friendly products, such as lead-free resistive pastes and cadmium-free Quantum Dots.
