1. Philosophy

SHOEI actively fulfills its social responsibilities as goal to preserve and improve the natural environment by the development of technology to reduce environmental impact and production activities in harmony with the environment.

2. Policy

a)

In addition to the development, manufacture and sale of conductive materials, insulating materials and resistive materials for electronic components and devices, SHOEI also promotes energy saving, resource saving and resource recycling, and works to reduce environmental loads through means including waste reduction.

b)

SHOEI is committed to improving and preserving the environment, and to preventing pollution throughout every aspect of its product development, manufacturing and sales activities.

c)

SHOEI not only establishes its own management standards in accordance with environmental regulations and agreements, but also works to further improve environmental preservation.

d)

SHOEI practices green procurement in line with this policy.

e)

SHOEI sets its own environmental objectives and targets in order to implement this policy, and revises them regularly.

f)

This policy is implemented and maintained via SHOEI's Environmental Management System, and so top management encourage all persons working on behalf of the organization to make this policy known.

g)

Top management revise this policy regularly to ensure that it is always maintained effectively as a corporate activities policy.

h)

This policy is made public upon external request and as otherwise required.
